Xmas Shopping for my Toddler

Amazon.

Do I even have to say anything else? If you read, my previous post (HERE) you know that my life has been a chaotic mess lately. However, that doesn't change the fact that I am a mom who indeed celebrates Christmas. This year will be a bit different because JJ will be spending Christmas with his dad's side of the family. Instead of 1 giant Christmas, he gets to have 3 celebrations; 1 with dad & family, 1 with me and a 3rd with my mom/grandma/great-grandma. Lucky kid.

Since we are having our very own mommy & son Xmas, I needed gifts....and I needed them fast. Thank God for Amazon Prime. (FYI this post is not at all sponsored, I'm not that important yet lol) I was able to buy 6 things for $150 and I didn't even have to leave my couch. That's a win in my book.

The Nice List

On to the good stuff. What I got him:

1. Bicycle
Not going to lie, I was a bit worried about this purchase. The reviews were iffy. Safety wise it was fine, but people were complaining about getting a used bike or having missing parts. I took the chance and it actually looks perfect. The assembly was fairly easy and it looks great under the tree.

2. Train
My son is obsessed with all things buses and trains. He asked for an MTA train. Seriously. That's what he wanted. He has a few in his collection so I'm adding another one. The J train is in honor of his best friend Leya & Titi Sara because that's the train we take to go visit them. 🤷🏾‍♀️

3. School Bus
Lately, he's been talking about wanting to go to school so he can 'take the yellow school bus'. He gets so excited but I don't have the heart to tell him, you live in NYC, you will likely walk to take the train to school, kid. So...this will do.

4. Transformer Bus/Robot
Honestly, this one is probably more exciting for me. He loves buses and I'm a nerd who loves robots. I'm hoping this will make him like them as well. Maybe I'm just subliminally trying to turn him into an engineer. IDK. But it's a cute toy.

5. Roller Skates
Yet another gift that I'm more excited about. He hasn't ever brought up roller skates, but I used to love them as a kid. He gets to wear them and they will make him go 'super duper fast' which is his favorite speed.

6. Bonus Item: Helmet, Knee & Elbow Pads
Because safety first.

This Christmas will be a lot different for him, but at the very least, I hope he enjoys the presents and time spent with ALL of his family.
